Use Attendance to inspect terminals, their staff mappings, raw event logs, attendance records and anomalies. Access depends on your account permissions. Device events and calculated attendance are different records; a received punch does not by itself mean a scheduled shift is complete.
Read the attendance evidence
| Record | What to check |
|---|---|
| Attendance terminal | Which hotel and device supply the events. |
| Terminal staff mapping | Whether the terminal's employee identity maps to the intended staff member. |
| Attendance event log | The original punch time, resolution and processing error. |
| Attendance record | Scheduled and actual work, metrics, state, review status and payroll lock. |
| Attendance anomaly | Missing, ambiguous or unmatched evidence that needs attention. |
An unmapped identity needs a correct mapping; ambiguous mappings can quarantine events. Check the staff schedule, hotel time zone and attendance settings when interpreting unexpected results. Overnight work is assigned to its logical attendance date, rather than split simply at midnight.
Some checkouts settle after a configured delay. Pending review can indicate missing punches, lateness, early departure or overtime. A completed management review is separate from the device-calculated state.
Reprocess a date range
Reprocessing rebuilds eligible records from saved schedules and available raw events. It can remove eligible existing records before reconstruction, so review the range and prerequisites first.
- Open the attendance record list and choose Re-process Attendance For Hotel.
- Select Hotel, From date and Through date. Both endpoint dates are included.
- Confirm the operation.
- Review the result summary, particularly unmapped/quarantined events and failed groups, then inspect the records and anomalies for the range.
Payroll-locked records, requested reviews and other excluded records retain protection; completion of the operation does not mean every stored result was recalculated. Missing schedule occurrences or failed processing can leave an eligible record without a replacement.

If payroll already locked the affected dates, reopen the relevant payroll before reprocessing. Reprocessing alone does not release locks. After reviewing attendance, calculate payroll again.
Review attendance settings
The hotel's attendance settings control capture windows, grace periods, break treatment and finalization. Break punches optional allows a missing pair of break punches when configured; a single missing counterpart still needs attention. It does not make unpaid breaks paid or remove a scheduled break deduction.
Staff explanations and management decisions have their own review status. A posted salary deduction is an approved payroll input; it does not change raw punches or automatically approve overtime pay. Use the supported review workflow instead of editing the linked deduction independently.
Evidence retention
Raw event logs older than 90 days are cleaned up. Calculated records and anomalies are retained, but expired raw events are unavailable for later evidence review or reconstruction. Consider the available evidence before reprocessing older dates.
