The Language Courses menu contains Language Course, Language Course Version, Language Lesson, Language Lesson Item, Language Lesson Session, Language Prompt Template, Staff Language Enrollment and Training Language.
Prepare a course
Create a Language Course with a unique Code and required Name, and review its active setting and order. Create a Language Course Version linked to it with a required version name. New versions start as draft, with pass and mastery thresholds of 70% and 80%; review the thresholds and lessons before making a version active.
Lessons and lesson items define the content. Prompt templates support course interactions; lesson sessions record staff activity. Keep course/version and enrollment records distinct so staff results refer to the intended version.
Enroll staff
Open Staff Language Enrollment, choose New, and select Staff, Course Version, Source Language and Target Language, then Save. Selecting staff can fill the hotel and native/source language; review them rather than assuming they are complete. English is the initial target when the corresponding training language exists.
A staff detail record also offers Add all latest courses. It selects the latest active version of each course by effective date, skips versions already assigned to that staff member and saves the new enrollments. If there are no active versions or all are already assigned, the action reports that condition. Missing required language data must be corrected before successful creation.
Inspect the enrollment's status, readiness, last activity and related Lesson Sessions to review progress. A new enrollment starts as not started with unknown readiness; creating it does not mean training has been completed.
